Introducing "The Belt"

Background: I dig leather, it's all I work with, what I do....I look at belts all the time, SO MANY crappy chunks of beefhide RUINED due to poor design, bad dye, inappropriate thickness and generally a severe lack of style (have you seen belts OVER belt loops....??? weird!)

History: Taking some nice (really nice!) 10-12 oz veggie tan leather, I cut it to size (1.5" seems to be THE thing for THE BELT!) I edge it (creases on each side) then hand dye in my immersion tanks, this then cures then I coat the leather to keep the dye in and give it some sheen and waterproofing.

I am now making single thickness belts, your choice of colours! Supply your own buckle for the moment or let me to supply one, I do have some nicer brass 1.25 and 1.5 inch buckles with no moving parts.

So, if'n you need one, measure up your favorite belt, give me the strap length, then distance between the fold at the buckle and the hole you use. I then pop four extra holes (or more) an inch or two over and under.

Black, Dark Brown (matches my oiled sling) and Light Brown (nicest, look for this as a sling, holster and magpouch combo color!)

Plain Brown and Black (no edging)

Edged Belts, brown and black.
