The New "Contractor Sling". As Endorsed by Greenwater International.
After a BUNCH of custom requests for slings I have simplified a sling and
it's hardware to one simple strap with
NO moving parts. Solid brass buckles that are damn near "Marine Proof". This has
been dubbed the "Contractor Sling" as
it has been being sent to the various PMC's that are working in the Sand
Box.
Other folks call it the "AK sling" because that's what it normally gets mounted up (that and '60s, 240's,249's, etc etc)
What it is:
One oversized (60-72" in length) slice of leather that is perf'd with holes at 1"
intervals. On each end is a solid brass buckle with no moving parts.
I make this sling "dry" with no oils/coatings
It is designed to be painted/coated In-Theatre. The normal 'box applied coating is with Coyote Tan spray paint but I have seen them in brown, OD Green, Camo'd and also natural.
I can make this in black if needed, just ask (it's what I use for my duty Colt 6920).
