The Biz:

This company has a long and colorful history, what you see as "Shottist.com" is the tangental growth of a family business.

The former business name is HMCC, You'll See how this evolves in the timeline below.

1962 Bell Glass Works is started in Selden N.Y., the incredible growth on Long Island promoted this business to grow dramatically. A full line household and automotive glass shop. Auto Glass eventually grew into having full time wrenches on hand to fix the cars. A majority of these cars were the now famous VW Beetle.

1964 Bell Bug Works is now in full swing, just like the sixties. The Glass is still a major part of the shop

1972 New building for the cars....scrap the glass...

Tangental move:

Bell Bug Works keeps on going, a move is made to start and manage the first Ferrari Garage in New York, Gran Prix SSR.(Former Gran Prix Employees and customer are encouraged to email me! andy@shottist.com I would love to chat, hear about your cars and see some photos of them!)

1978 Realize that New York Car Business is not healthy and move to New Hampshire to start Mercedes Restoration Business

Hannover Motorcar Service is started (the HMC in the name), specializing in Sales Service and Restoration of Vintage Mercedes Benz automobiles this business moved twice, to Plainfield New Hampshire then to Windsor, Vermont. (only a scant few yards apart)

1991 Motorcycles are added (my passion) Making the Name, Hannover Motorcar and Cycle (HMCC) Besides service work on BMW motorcycles, restorations were also performed, /2 and /5s a specialty.

1992 Motorcycles, firearms and other precision machine tools were added, they are nice and small and you can fit lots of them in a single service bay! Name of the firearms business at this juncture was Defense Technology/Front Sight Enterprises.

1998 I specialize now in the manufacture of the Ching Sling and Rifleleather in General.  I still am into bikes, European street motorcycles and trials motorcycles as a hobby than a career

2000 Still going great with  leather and shooting....fun stuff, branching out into military and police supply as well.

2002 Quick Trip to New Mexico
