Scout Kit Instructions

This works for Ruger Frontier, Savage Scout and any other rifle that needs a 3 point sling.

Print these directions!

Here is what you get:

3-1 inch swivels, swivel stud, drill bit, sling (brown, dry or oiled, tell me what you want!)

Here is what you need:

A drill

A rifle

 UNLOAD YOUR RIFLE

You can just drill in your rifle stock as such....

OR

Remove Forward Action Screw, mine has allen screws.

Remove Rear Action Screw (the rear trigger guard screw is just that, trigger guard retention).

Here is where I drill the hole....
Before Drilling check for enough "meat" in the stock to put a screw.

Like this...this is the hole. DON'T drill from the barrel side, drill from the bottom...
Note if I was forward by a half inch I would have little support for the screw,

Start Screw, sometimes you need a tool to get it going...

You can use the drill bit shank

Or the allen wrenches, or similar diameter tool, Snug it tight!

Savage Owners

To reassemble hold the mag release lever like this and drop into stock under button, note silicone on spring to left of finger.hint hint!

Back to every other Rifle

Lube threads with your favorite oil so you can be sure they get the proper torque and come out when you want them to!

Install your sling/swivels and go shoot!
